 1981 FERRARI 512 BBLM - nicknamed "BBB"

This Ferrari 512 BBLM chassis 35529 was sold new to Mr. Fabrizio Violati, a rich Italian Gentlemen, owner of the water brand "Ferrarelle" but also owner of its own racing team "Scuderia Bellancauto".

Fabrizio Violati wanted his car to be different / improved in order to be faster and lighter than the other 512 BBLMs. Three of famous period engineer (including Armando Palanca) thought about few modifications for this car's body. And at the end, this car looked quite different from the other ones.

His racing history started at the Monza 1000 Kms on April 26, 1981. The car finished 1st in its category and 6th OA.

Then, she entered Le Mans 24 Hours but without finishing the race.

After few races, the car stopped racing during the whole 1983 season. And Violati's team and engineers reviewed new modifications for 35529, now nicknamed "BBB" for Berlinetta Boxer Bellancauto.

The car entered Le Mans 24 Hours again, in 1984 but DNF.

On June 1985, Violati ran the car during a Ferrari Italia Club event.
After this event, the BBB was restored and totally revised. Then, she remained untouched and stayed in Maranello Rosso Collection until 2014.
