1971 FERRARI 365 GTB/4 Daytona
1971 Ferrari 365 GTB/4, chassis 14191
Completing assembly in March 1971, this Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona was dispatched to William Harrah's famed distributorship "Modern Classic Motors" in Reno, Nevada.
The car always stayed in the US, including 28 years with the last owner, a famous Ferrari collector based in Los Angeles.
During his ownership, the Daytona was exhibited at many events, among them: Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance, Ferrari 50th anniversary held at Petersen automotive museum, concorso Italiano and more recently at the 60th Anniversary of Ferrari in America at Beverly Hills.
During his ownership, he painted the car in Rosso and commissioned the famous engine rebuilder Bruno Borri to rebuild the engine. Among other measures, Mr. Borri installed special high-compression pistons and slightly radical cams, making this engine very special and efficient.
In 2014, while the Daytona was undergoing a new restoration, some gold paint old traces were discovered.
Ferrari Classiche confirmed that the car was originally painted in Oro Chiaro 106.Y.19, so the owner asked the respected Lasky Coachworks from LA to repaint the car in its original color.
Always well maintained, the car is today in perfect condition. Tool Roll, owner's handbooks and Ferrari Classiche document.
US papers. EU taxes paid.
